HAER AND EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AGREE TO CONTRACT EXTENSION

PITTSBURGH (November 11, 2004) At last night's Local Board meeting, the Executive Committee was authorized to negotiate and execute a two-year extension to Executive Director John Haer's Contract as long as we did not exceed our budget guidelines.

Preliminary discussions have been ongoing since the expiration of the current agreement on October 31^st. All members of the Executive Committee, which includes President Paul Martino, Vice-President David Early, Treasurer Mark Roberts, Broadcast Steeering Committee Chair Stoney Richards, and Secretary Nancy Mimless discussed the terms of the offer and voted unanimously in favor.

Haer's new agreement will be retroactive to November first, and will extend through October 31, 2006. Terms are confidential, but well within budget guidelines.

The Executive Committee thanks the Board for the authorization to proceed, and we are happy to have John continue at the helm for another two years.
